ORGANISATION’S OBJECTIVES

i. To promote the development of local communities, with special attention to girls’ and women’s welfare and education.

ii. To provide the means to the development of private and group entrepreneurship and local production among women, in order to achieve better economic, social and cultural conditions for low income women.

iii. To provide opportunities for women to make positive contributions in education, gender equity and social welfare.

iv. To support widows and young women affected by HIV/AIDS by providing education, food staff and medication.

ORGANISATION’S WORKING AREA

WAP currently has an organisation of approximately 6 programmes and core project staff principally working in the 3 municipalities of Temeke, Kinondoni, and Ilala. WAP’s programme operates in 6 Localities in which it has over 200 members. The entrepreneurship programme operates in Temeke
